Deputy Culture Minister Vladimir Lazovski said he will offer his resignation if he is found guilty after a traffic accident today in front of the Macedonian Parliament, where he hit a motorcycle with his car.
Photographs from the scene show Lazovski’s car above the double line, indicating that he may have tried to perform a U-turn at a place where it is strictly forbidden. Lazovski said that the motorcycle hit him.
What is important is that I and the motorcycle driver are both well. I was with him all the time, he was discharged from hospital and feels well. I’m not injured. The case was investigated and if it is determined that it is my fault, I will resign, Lazovski said.
The Government is in purge mode, dismissing the most corrupt and insolent officials, which, ironically, was initiated when actor Dragan Spasov – Dac handed a broom to Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, with the message to begin to sweep away his worst performing officials. Dac, known for his excessive drinking, himself previously resigned as director of the Macedonian National Theater after he hit a pedestrian with his car.
