Four Pakistani migrants were injured in an incident which happened in the village of Vaksince early on Wednesday morning.

According to police reports, the men aged 20 to 24 had stab wounds which were inflicted during the incident, which is still being investigated.

The villages of Vaksince and Slupcane, close to the border with Serbia, are the main staging areas for migrants using the Balkan route to get to the European Union. They are usually housed around the villages, for a fee, as they attempt to establish contact with traffickers who can help them cross the border into Serbia.
