Star TV from Stip reports that a 14 year old girl was recently removed from her mother after she was forced to a life of prostitution, starting when she was just 11.

According to the report, the family owed money to local loan sharks and had the little girl sold to a pimp in Sweden for 5.000 EUR. Months later she was returned to Macedonia where she was pimped out in hotels around Stip.

The girl said that she was forced to service between 3 and 4 men a day, for between 1.000 and 1.500 denars – with her mother collecting the money as soon as it was being paid.

The girl was able to report the case herself, and is currently housed in Skopje, while those involved in her abuse are being investigated.
