People from the village of Galicnik, in the mountainous far west of Macedonia, are reporting damage to their homes and villas from the earthquake that struck this afternoon.

The quake measured 4.9 degrees and was centered in the area, but was felt across Macedonia and Albania. It was the second major quake to hit the country, after the overnight earthquake that cause no damage.

Local authorities are urging the citizens who have suffered structural damage to their homes to report it immediately. Citizens are sharing photographs of homes with cracks in the walls, and concerns for their safety.
