Hristijan Kostov, director of the “8th of September” hospital in Skopje informed that five patients remain in his hospital following yesterday’s tragic bus crash near Karpalak, and that two of them are in critical condition. A total of 14 people died in the crash, although Gostivar local authorities, where most of the victims came from, say that the toll has risen to 15.
According to Kostov, two patients with trauma to the head, who need mechanical respiration, are cared for in the hospital and their condition remains life-threatening. A third patient, female who had to have her spleen removed, is in stable condition. Two more, men aged 15 and 40, are currently stable.
