Following the Government and the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Interior Ministry began using the name “Republic of North Macedonia”. As of today, the powerful department adopted a new logo, declaring that the Macedonian police is now the “police of the Republic of North Macedonia”.
Under the Prespa treaty with Greece, Macedonia is now obliged to begin using this name not only internationally, like the reference “former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia” was used, but also domestically, opening what could be a huge process to replace documents, forms, uniforms, the currency and a myriad of other things that refer to the Republic of Macedonia, many of which will fall under the Interior Ministry
