Investigators are searching the offices of the Special Public Prosecution (SPO) to collect evidence from financial documents after a search warrant was issued by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, it told MIA.
It pointed out that it was a preliminary procedure.
Further reviews of the spending that was taking place in the Special Prosecutor’s Office showed that former Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva, during her term, received a total of 157,000 euros, in addition to her regular salary.
She awarded herself the extra 157,000 euros as a “confidentiality bonus” – for not disclosing what she heard in the “bombs”, as well as rent payments for working outside the city in which she lives.
