Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski met Wednesday with Chinese Ambassador to Macedonia Zhang Zuo.
According to Kovacevski’s office, the meeting affirmed the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries based on mutual respect and expressed openness to promote economic cooperation, through interest in investments from Macedonia in China and to continue cooperation in the field of infrastructure in our state.
It is jointly assessed that there are several different areas of cooperation with China that will contribute to the improvement of relations between the two countries.
Regarding the situation in Ukraine, Prime Minister Kovacevski reiterated the country’s position on the line of strategic partners, NATO, US and EU for the strongest condemnation of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and sanctions against the Russian Federation.
Kovacevski stressed that Macedonia is a NATO member state, with aspirations for EU membership and that it continues to develop in that direction.
