VMRO was founded to unite all progressive elements in the Macedonian society, the Macedonian intelectuals, business leaders and the hard working Macedonian peasants, said VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski on the Day of the Macedonian Revolutionary Struggle. The day, October 23rd, marks the founding of the VMRO organization in Solun in 1893.

Let’s remember their sacrifice and let’s not allow it to go to vain. We have a tremendous task to advance the freedom we gained, to economically build it up and to ensure solidarity, equality and justice, Mickoski said.
