VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski accused the Zaev regime of further devaluating security services in Macedonia by using them to put out false allegations that the opposition is working for foreign interests. An example of this was made by Deputy Prime Minister Nikola Dimitrov just yesterday.

For three years I’ve been the target of allegations from this Government and former VMRO-DPMNE officials who now serve it. Let them state who are these centers of influence I’m allegedly working for and I will leave my office. But if they can’t, they need to apologize to me for their lies. Let them show an ounce of evidence. When such allegations come from Government officials it is implied that they are based on reports prepared by the ANB and AR intelligence agencies. They need to apologize to the professionals in these agencies whose work they are devaluing by making such allegations, Mickoski said.

The opposition leader noted that the Government has completely failed in its goal to open EU accession talks – which it promised to the citizens years ago and said will happen as a result of their policy toward the neighboring countries. “Zaev accused us of being gleeful about his failures and at one points said – you can drop dead of envy but I have secured the date to open EU accession talks. It’s been three years since then and we keep sinking further down, and this man shows no sense of accountability”, Mickoski said.
