Unvaccinated public sector employees would be force to pay more than 100 EUR a month – about a quarter of the average salary – if the new vaccine restriction goes into force, VMRO-DPMNE warned. The Government’s corona commission is proposing that public sector workers are forced to either get vaccinated or show a negative test every few days to be allowed to go to work.
This would drive a wedge between public and private sector employees. The proposal would limit those who have been through the infection to having a reprieve of only 45 days, even though natural immunization protects from between six and 12 months. Forcing citizens to take PCR tests every 72 days will cost them more than 100 EUR a month, considering the current prices for the tests. The Government ignores expert opinion and is threatening the citizens, said Zaklina Sopova, from the VMRO-DPMNE healthcare committee.
