The defeat of the government’s presidential candidate Stevo Pendarovski is so disastrous that the candidate supported by 31 parties, in the 2014 elections, when SDSM was in opposition, won more votes than today.
For illustration, in 2014, Gjorge Ivanov, supported by VMRO-DPMNE, Stevo Pendarovski from SDSM, Ilijaz Halimi from DPA, Zoran Popovski from the Citizens Option for Macedonia participated in the first round of the presidential race.
Pendarovski entered the second round with 326,164 votes or 37.51%.
Of the 97.54% of the data processed in the first round, Stevo Pendarovski has won 316,692 votes or 42.72% of the vote, or about 9,377 votes less.
>In 2014, 1,779,572 citizens were eligible to vote, and in these elections 1,808,131 citizens.
