The law on financing political parties was passed yesterday by the Commission on Political System with the support of both the government and the opposition.

With this law, the parties allow themselves to get back the money that was cut by a decree having the force of law this spring due to the pandemic. This means that about four million euros will be allocated to political parties.

Two years ago, political parties were allowed to receive 4.5m euros a year from the budget.
