The Parliament is set to hold Tuesday a formal session on ratification of Macedonia’s NATO Accession Protocol, in the attendance of country’s top officials, representatives from parliaments of neighboring countries and diplomatic corps. With the ratification, the country is only one step further from its full-fledged membership in the Alliance, as the 30th member state. Ratification in the Spanish Parliament will remain unfinished, and ratification in our country will have delayed action and will be activated once the process is completed in Madrid.
The bill on ratification is in parliamentary procedure after the government decided to ratify it early, in order not to lose continuity in the process of formalizing our membership as the country will hold early elections on April 12.
