Each generation makes decisions that determine the fate of the people and the future of the state. Comparing and evaluating historical eras, our anti-fascist generation certainly stands out in the excellence of its work, President Stevo Pendarovski said in a video address on the occasion of 11 October – the National Uprising Day.

Thanks to the internal unity of the people and the strong external link with key countries in the anti-fascist alliance, Pendarovski points out in his address, that glorious generation managed to fight for Macedonian freedom and statehood.

We are forever indebted to that generation who participated in the great national uprising. It is therefore necessary to be aware of our responsibility in safeguarding the state and freedom won many years ago. It is only possible if we follow their example and assume our generational responsibility. To achieve inner unity through civic reconciliation and solidarity if we want to achieve our common goal – transformation of North Macedonia into a progressive and prosperous state – member of NATO and the European Union, Pendarovski emphasized.

With unity on the most important things, says the president, to build a state in which young people see their future.

With such unity to create a just, free and healthy society in which there must be room for everyone. The unification of the different and the solidarity between us are the key to every success, a condition for achieving every noble and righteous goal, President Pendarovski said in his video address on the occasion of 11 October – the National Uprising Day.
