Minister of Defense Slavjanka Petrovska said on Monday that there is no decision yet to send Macedonian troops to the eastern flank of NATO. If such a decision is made, the public will be informed, she added.

As a NATO member, we are ready to share the burden with others, but so far we have not made a concrete decision. If such a decision is made, the public will be informed, said Petrovska after the observance of the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Army.

She added that the Macedonian Army has exceptionally trained and relatively well-equipped members, who, if eventually sent on this type of mission, will be deployed to appropriate locations in accordance with NATO strategies and development plans.
