The highlight of Aleksandar Kiracovski’s press statement today, after he was interrogated for his role in the racketeering scandal revolving around his friend Bojan Jovanovski – Boki 13 was Kiracovski’s attempt to diminish his friendship with Boki 13.

I didn’t know that Boki 13 was extorting money. Absolutely not. As politicians, we communicate with many individuals, but this does not give them the right to commit crime. Many people aks to be take photos with us and hopefully many will not abuse it. I do not think that everyone who took a photo with him did any harm, Kiracovski said, to the amusement of the press.

Shortly after, a new photograph of the two began making the social media rounds. Boki 13 is seen sitting in a restaurant, as Kiracovski entertains him on the guitar. Within minutes it blew up Kiracovski’s “alibi”. Kiracovski and Frosina Remenski, who was questioned on Wednesday, are seen as among the closest associates the cross-dressing showman and businessman had in the ruling SDSM party. In her statement to the press Remenski was less prepared to give up on Boki 13, with whom she would famously exchange public messages on social media platforms, extolling his charity and their friendship. Boki 13 is charged with extorting millions from businessmen, threatening them with his links with the ruling party and his friendship with Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva.
