Skopje’s chief prosecutor, Gavril Bubevski, announced on Tuesday that the physical evidence related to the tragic murders of Vanja Gjorchevska and Panche Zhezhovski is currently under analysis. He emphasized that this evidence aligns significantly with the suspected individuals involved in the case.

“We’re proceeding with an indictment based on the concrete facts derived from our examination of the physical evidence. These pieces of evidence are being scrutinized, and they strongly resonate with the suspects,” stated Bubevski.

The heartbreaking incidents involved the discovery of Gjorchevska, aged 14, near Skopje on December 3, subsequent to her being reported missing since November 27. Similarly, Zhezhovski, aged 74, was found deceased near Veles on December 3, having been reported missing since November 24.

The legal proceedings have brought charges against various individuals. Palevski, the founder of the political party Desna, faces charges of abduction and murder. Additionally, party members Velibor Manev, Vlatko Keshishov, and Bore Videvski have been charged with abduction and being accessories to murder. Aleksandar Gjorchevski, Vanja’s father, is suspected of aiding in the abduction and has been charged accordingly. Furthermore, Stefan Dimkovski, the individual who transported Palevski from Serbia to Turkey, is also under suspicion in this case.
