Polish President Andrzej Duda said that the will personal push to help Macedonia open its EU accession talks, which are blocked by Bulgaria. President Duda is visiting Macedonia and met with his host Stevo Pendarovski.

If Bulgaria continues to react unconstructively, if it says “no” for the entry of Macedonia, I will personally step up and work to prepare a document that would help you more easily handle the issue of EU entry, President Duda said.

He added that Poland gives unreserved support to Macedonia in the opening of EU accessions. Bulgaria just came out of another round of early general elections, and is yet to hold the final round of presidential elections. The Zaev regime hopes that the next Government and the likely to be re-elected President Radev will agree to some offer and would lift their veto by the European Council in mid December.
