The Trade Union of Administration, Judiciary and Citizens’ Associations (UPOZ) today staged the announced protest with a two-hour work stoppage in all ministries, agencies, funds, administrations and courts where they have trade unions.

The President of the Trade Union of UPOZ Trpe Deanovski in a statement to the media revealed that in certain institutions there is pressure on employees because they are not out of work, but are organized and protest by stopping work inside the institutions.

There will be protests tomorrow with stopping work from 10h to 12h, and the union will take the next steps in consultation with all employees.

We will not allow any employee to be punished. We will take all further steps of dissatisfaction in that way so that no employee is affected by the salary, because that’s what they are waiting for. Let’s go on strike and then have our salaries cut. If necessary, we will invent new ways of stopping work just to protect employees, said Deanovski.

According to the President of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia, Darko Dimovski, the demands of the unions should be harmonized.

The requirements are not the same. We have a request for a linear increase for all employees for 2,806 denars. First we need to harmonize our demands, Dimovski said.

They are not satisfied with the Law on Civil Servants, which is in parliamentary procedure, nor with the Union of UPOZ. Yesterday, the Confederation of Free Trade Unions expressed dissatisfaction with this law.

The members of UPOZ were outside the Office of President Stevo Pendarovski for two hours.

The members of the Trade Unions in the Public Prosecutor’s Offices also protested.

There were protests in the Cadastre Agency and in the State Statistical Office as well.

There was also a two-hour stop in the work in the Basic Civil Court.

In some Ministries as well.
