Pucko Petrol, a gasoline trading company whose owner Ismail Jahoski comes from the ruling the DUI party, cashed in on 28 million EUR in public procurement contracts in 2018, nearly twice as much as it got in 2017.

Makfax tried to put together a list of companies which win the most money in procurement contracts using publicly available data. Jahoski, who is also the mayor of Plasnica, was suspected of trading in heating oil without a license which led to the annulment of at least one contract with the Defense Ministry.

Other top contractors for the Government include “Dr. Panovski”, the pharmaceuticals wholesaler owned by Zlatko Panovski, whose daughter was appointed to a top position by the SDSM party. Shortly after her appointment, the company faced allegations of using her influence to get lucrative contracts.
