Macedonian policeman Bobi Dodevski and Iraqi Kurdish refugee Nora Elijah Arakvazi revealed on their social media accounts that they are now remarried. Their love story was born in the midst of the 2015 migrant crisis, when Nora arrived to Macedonia as a refugee from Iraq.
She fell in love with the policeman who she met while he was deployed in Kumanovo, near the border with Serbia, at the Tabanovce camp. The two got married and a had a son, but divorced two years later and Nora returned to Iraq. Her family reportedly had issues with her marrying a Christian.
But all that seems bygone, and the two declared that they are very much in love again, posting pictures together on their Facebook pages.
