A retired employee of the UBK state security agency and his 31 year old son were arrested as they were smuggling 50 kilograms of marijuana and 50 grams of cocaine near Ohrid.

The two men from Struga were hiding the drugs in the trunk of their car, which was stopped on the road between Ohrid and the monastery of St. Naum. The father tried to flee from the police, but was apprehended. The son was driving in a different vehicle, 200 meters ahead of the father, serving as a look-out for police patrols.
