Last year, the Constitution was changed not because of the citizens, not for a better economic life, but because of the name change, in a preamble, a part that is preceded by the constitution. It says something we hear, about a glorious past, about the goals that are most important to us. Around the world, it is rarely changed. It portrays the moment when the constitution was adopted. As if we had voted in 1991 for North Macedonia and partisans fought for North Macedonia, that is wrong, unacceptable and painful. After 200 years, the preamble of the United States is the same. And our authorities say that what is happening now, for them is natural, what is artificial for us. They forgot about the people when they said NO in the referendum. The Constitution must be dictated from within the country, not from outside, said candidate Gordana Siljanovska Davkova at Monday’s rally in Makedonski Brod.
