Scandalous Skopje Mayor Danela Arsovska dismissed her main confidant in the city hall – her Secretary General Zoran Gligorov – and replaced him with Natalija Mitovska.

Mitovska is co-head of the Infomax news site and wife of its owner Aleksandar Mitovski – Mecka. The once strongly pro-opposition news site recently turned into a strong critic of VMRO-DPMNE and sided with Arsovska, and Karpos Mayor Stevco Jakimovski, in their fight with the party that got both of them elected. VMRO alleges that the news site is siding with the Government for lucrative reasons.

Both Arsovska and Jakimovski have made Infomax their main outlet for communicating with the public. Before helping set up Infomax, Natalija Mitovska was an Interior Ministry official during the Ljubco Georgievski Government, before joining the populist party lead by Ljube Boskoski.

Last year it was reported that an organization she set up was given a contract by the city worth almost 23,000 EUR.
