Gostivar Mayor Arben Taravari welcomed the visit by Kosovan Albanian nationalist Albin Kurti as he promoted the pre-election support the two parties – Alliance of Albanians and Self-Determination, have in place. Kurti is competing in the coming elections in Kosovo, and the Alliance wants to emulate his party in the elections in Macedonia expected next year.
The Albanian Spring is coming, Taravari said, as he called on the Kosovan voters to support Kurti. “Their win would be the best step to protecting our families from the ruling cancer that endangers our lives”, Taravari added.
During his visit to Skopje, Kurti said that ALbanians in Macedonia are tragically not yet unified with either Kosovo or Albania.
