The former mayor of Skopje, Koce Trajanovski, testified at Tuesday’s hearing in the “April 27″ case. He pointed out that in the period of 2016 and 2017 he was a member of the Executive Committee of VMRO-DPMNE and that the defendants Spiro Ristoski and Mile Janakieski were not members of the party bodies, nor did the position of organizational secretary exist at that time.

Explaining that period, he said that his party had won the elections, but that they could not form a government and that the people were upset that something was being prepared.

He said the party had not made any decision to support the protests.

VMRO-DPMNE assessed the protests as peaceful and spontaneous, but there was no participation in them, explained Trajanovski.

He also explained that as mayor of Skopje, the city administration did not exert any pressure.

Trajanovski also clarified that Mile Janakieski and Spiro Risteski had no communication with the city committees during the protests.
