Turnout in the Macedonian capital Skopje was 30.13 percent by 15h. The majority ethnic Albanian central district and those in the suburbs had markedly lower turnout than the majority Macedonian parts of the city.
Turnout was highest in Centar and Karpos, the two municipalities which the left wing candidate Stevo Pendarovski managed to carry in the first round – both had slightly over 39 percent of the voters voting by 15h. Right behind them are Kisela Voda (37%), Aerodrom (36.8%) and Gjorce Petrov (35.2%). The three, like the rest of the Macedonian areas in the city, went for the VMRO candidate Gordana Siljanovska – Davkova.
Meanwhile, in the majority ethnic Albanian central district of Cair turnout was 19.9 percent. Albanian rural districts, like Aracinovo and Saraj voted with just 20.75 and 16.55 percent turnout.
