Besir Belja and Skender Demiri were sentenced Tuesday to 19 years in prison for the murder of 20-year-old Nikola Sazdovski.

Judge Daniela Aleksovska-Stojanovska told the court that the two men have been found guilty of murdering Nikola Sazdovski.

At the same time, Besir Belja should pay damages of 1,200,000 for the father, mother, brother, sister, and 600 thousand denars for the grandmother of Sazdovski. The same should be done by Skender Demiri.

The prosecutor suggested that the detention be extended due to the risk of escape.

The lawyer of Besir Belja, Nikolce Naumov, ask that detention be replaced by house arrest.

The case began on November 9 last year.
