The VMRO-DPMNE party accused the Government of staging an unprecedented attack on the popular KAM chain of budget supermarkets. Dozens of KAM markets have been closed by inspectors who are combing through their compliance with the fast changing rules and profit margin limits that are put out by the Government.

VMRO-DPMNE has already warned in the past that the work of the UJP tax agents is politically motivated. Now they are endangering hundreds of jobs in favor of oligarchs close to the Government. The SDSM – DUI Government owes the public answers about this raid, whether it is driven by politics and if its goal is to eliminate competition to companies close to the Government. Is the Government aware that the main victims will be the citizens who go to KAM market for cheaper products? Is it true that this raid was ordered by the Government in order to protect one of the financiers of the campaign of one of the ruling political parties, VMRO-DPMNE said in a statement.
