Songs, flags, rejoicing – supporters, citizens and members of the party celebrated late Sunday the victory in the local elections in front of the headquarters of VMRO-DPMNE.
People were singing songs like “Biser Balkanski” and “Bella Ciao” after Zoran Zaev resigned as Prime Minister of Macedonia and as leader of the SDSM party.
На насобраните граѓани им се придружија лидерот и потпретседателот на ВМРО-ДПМНЕ, Христијан Мицкоски и Александар Николоски, како и новиот градоначалник на Град Скопје – Данела Арсовска.
The gathered citizens were joined by the leader and vice president of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski and Aleksandar Nikoloski, as well as the new mayor of the City of Skopje – Danela Arsovska.
Many doubted us but the hope prevailed. Macedonian must change and the changes begin today. We all dream for a better future. But today we begin to change the image of the country, and begin our work to improve living standards and secure our future. I’m grateful to all the citizens who voted for us, and to those who didn’t – whose support we will continue to seek. We went through much turmoil but it was worth it, Mickoski said at the press conference declaring victory.
