Members of Parliament from VMRO-DPMNE, their coalition partners, and the Levica party, officially submitted a proposal for a vote of no confidence against Deputy Prime Minister Nikola Dimitrov. VMRO official Antonio Milososki detailed the proposal at a press conference.
Nikola Dimitrov twice refused invitations from the Foreign Affairs Committee to testify about the relations between Macedonia and Bulgaria and their impact on our EU integration. His explanation was that he is worried for his health. This undermines the importance of the Parliament, as the body elected by the people, Milososki said.
Milososki added that Dimitrov has persistently fooled the public, declaring that he has resolved all open bilateral issues with Macedonia’s neighbors and that this has ensured the opening of EU accession talks. “He claimed that the accession talks will begin in 2019, then in 2020..”.
Earlier VMRO-DPMNE announced a coming vote of no confidence in the entire Government, and that the vote against Dimitrov will be the first step in this process.
