VMRO-DPMNE Vice President Aleksandar Nikoloski and Bujar Osmani debated Wednesday on Telma’s “Top Tema” show over the date for accession negotiations, whether Macedonia will receive it or no.
The legitimate question that the entire Macedonian public is waiting is for this country to start negotiations with the EU. The beginning of the negotiations is very important when it will be, always with all the previous states it was in the same year when the Council made a decision. The Council made the decision in June to start negotiations in December. What we have as information is that it will be neither in December nor March and we will have to wait for the next report. Because there will be preconditions that Macedonia cannot complete in that period. And practically at best, I repeat, and people to understand we could get a date for date, that is to say, there will be preconditions that the Government will have to realize and only after that start negotiations and to be honest I think that this Zaev Government has no capacity to do it, as the preconditions will include, among other things, half of the Government going to the Public Prosecutor’s Office for investigation, as they are implicated in the Racket 1 and Racket 2 affairs, Nikoloski said.
He added that no matter in what form we “get a date”, Zoran Zaev’s government should call early elections the next day and leave the political scene in Macedonia as soon as possible.
