Aleksandar Mitovski, the Infomax editor who was the target of persecution for reporting on the major racketeering scandal, called out Public Prosecutor Ljubomir Joveski for his misleading statement when he assured the public that no politicians are involved in the scandal. This claim by Joveski has been demolished today as the charges were extended toward Frosina Remenski, one of the number of top SDSM party officials who were allegedly involved in the extortion ring.
Zoran Zaev lied when he threatened the press with lawsuits. Prosecutor Vilma Ruskoska lied when she said that the testimonies Infomax published are false. Frosina Remenski lied and demanded an apology from us. Nikola Dimitrov lied when he claimed he didn’t know about the scandal until the investigation was initiated, even though he was informed about it months ahead of time. Only Sekerinska was smart enough to avoid making statements that could drag her into proving their veracity. But the biggest liar of all is Zoran Zaev – he lied about knowing the defendant Zoran Mileski, then acknowledged he would meet him over mining deals. He lied that he doesn’t know the defendant Bojan Jovanovski – Boki 13. Witnesses say he was visiting him at his apartment. Zaev lied when he said that he didn’t warn the racketeers about the on-going investigation against them. Zaev lied that he reported their extortion attempts to the state prosecutors given that there is no report of this anywhere, Mitovski said.
The journalist claims that the events of the case were recorded by the victims of the extortion, but also by two foreign intelligence services, alluding to additional revelations to come.
