Prime Minister and SDSM leader Zoran Zaev has confirmed that the meeting with VMRO-DPMNE president Hristijan Mickoski would take place on Sunday.

The presidential elections, the reform laws and the Special Prosecutor’s Office, as announced, will be the three key issues that Zaev and Mickoski will discuss.

The leader of VMRO-DPMNE also previously confirmed that they will discuss these three important issues.

The upcoming presidential elections are an imperative and prerequisite for integration into the structures of NATO and the EU, so in the part referring to the reform laws, since there was a dialogue so far, the teams worked on those laws that we can say are reform, and we will talk about the SPO and the draft law on the future of the SPO, which we received in a working version, said Mickoski Thursday evening on TV Alfa’s Otvoreno show.

As President of the Government, who was opposition 21 months ago, said Zaev yon Thursday, I should talk to the leader of the opposition, because, as he underlined, among other things, North Macedonia must have a crystal clear election process and that is everyone’s obligation.

We will also discuss the reform laws, but neither I nor Mickoski are the best experts, so experts from the Parliament and the Ministry of Justice need to discuss it, Zaev said.
