Prime Minister Zoran Zaev expressed his worry that opposition presidential candidates Gordana Siljanovska – Davkova and Blerim Reka may cooperate in the second round of the elections, with the votes Reka wins in the first round.

Polls show that the VMRO and SDSM candidates Gordana Siljanovska – Davkova and Blerim Reka will advance to the second round, and Pendarovski desperately needs the Albanian votes which Reka is expected to soak up in the first round. In response, during his rally in Debar, Zaev resorted to his usual “VMRO bad” rhetoric when he speaks to Albanian crowds.

I respect Blerim Reka but he is associating himself with the Ziadin Sela nationalism and is now working together with Siljanovska. Albanians should not vote for VMRO-DPMNE because VMRO doesn’t like them, doesn’t see them as equals. Voting for Reka is throwing your vote away and lifts up Siljanovska. We need you to vote for candidate Pendarovski, Zaev said in front of a largely Albanian crowd in Debar.
