Zoran Zaev annouced that he has the names of the ministers and other officials he wants to purge from his Government, and is currently negotiating with their successors.

The talks are on-going. I use every spare moment to interview them and I can confirm they are accepting the proposals. I believe I will be able to publish their names no later then the end of the first half of June, Zaev told the press.

He promised to purge his most corrupt and incompetent officials after a disastrous showing in the first round of the presidential elections, when SDSM and DUI lost 2/5 of their votes compared to the 2017 municipal elections. Since then Zaev cut deep in his SDSM party, removing about a hundred top party officials, but he allowed them to keep their state offices, prompting accusations that the purge is being performed in name only.
