People are rightly disappointed and feel that they have sacrificed too much for something they did not get. At the same time, I would like to emphasize that the unserious attitude of the Macedonian government, which traded with the most sacred things for the Macedonian people, the identity issues that are our feature, has a strong impact, said VMRO-DPMNE leader, Hristijan Mickoski in an interview with the “Politika” daily newspaper.

Mickoski added that a few years later Macedonia’s EU path is at the same level as before those agreements.

I understand why the Macedonian authorities did it, because of petty personal privileges and positions, while the real price is paid by the people. Macedonia’s future is in the European Union and there is no alternative to that path, but at the same time that goal is possible only if we have a government that fights for principles, values, against crime and corruption, which implements reforms and has open relations of mutual respect to all neighbors, stressed Mickoski.
