Agriculture Minister, Ljupco Nikolovski, said via Facebook that the wheat and corn that Serbia announced yesterday that it would deliver to the country, are for economic entities, and not for the needs of the state or commodity reserves.

According to Nikolovski, the country has enough wheat and corn. Domestic mills have a reserve of 45,000 tons of wheat, quantities that are sufficient for the needs of the domestic market until the next harvest.

The Ministries of Agriculture of the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Serbia have continuous communication for all agricultural products that are exported and imported from both sides, including wheat and corn. The mentioned quantities are in the annual plans for import of economic entities until the beginning of the harvest in order, as every year, to cover the needs of the domestic market and the operation of mills, bakeries and other entities, not for the needs of the state or commodity reserves, explained Nikolovski.
