Greek nationalist protesters burnt the Macedonian flag in front of the Parliament in Athens.
The incident happened as thousands of nationalists descended to the Parliament in anticipation of the vote to ratify a deal with which Macedonia changes its name to North Macedonia and opens its history books to Greek interpretation, but Greece would allow it to join NATO.
The vote was eventually postponed for Friday early afternoon, when protests are expected to resume. On Sunday, tens of thousands of protesters gathered in front of the Parliament and Greek police had to use tear gas to disperse them.
