To commemorate Macedonian artist Risto Kalchevski’s 90th birthday, the National Gallery of North Macedonia has arranged an exhibition. According to the organizers, it will open at Daut Pashin Amam on December 21 and close on February 29.

In a press statement, the National Gallery stated that one of the most prominent Macedonian exponents of informel art was Risto Kalchevski (1933–1989).His works, which were originally shown in a group exhibition in 1957, have been characterized as “abstract naturalism,” “synthetic cubism,” “calm lyrical abstraction,” and “abstract conceptualism” by reviewers over the years.
