Minister of Culture Bisera Kostadinovska Stojchevska emphasized the advocacy for increased annual budgets, affirming continued support for ongoing and new cultural projects. She highlighted the intent for the 2024 budget to align with the previous year’s, ensuring support for national institutions and various cultural endeavors beyond.

During a visit to the “Goce Delchev” library in Shtip, she commended national institutions for navigating challenges posed by the pandemic, energy, and security crises while implementing their projects successfully.

Regarding complaints from certain municipalities about unequal treatment, Kostadinovska Stojchevska attributed this to varying levels of cultural valuation and administrative awareness among local governments. She cited financial aid provided to several municipalities, emphasizing that investment depends on a municipality’s cultural priorities and proactive engagement in the application process.

Highlighting the importance of local and national collaboration, she praised institutions that effectively engage with local authorities for mutual cultural development.
