The Turkish automobile industry company “Purplast” will build a plant in the technological industrial development zone Skopje 2, with an initial investment of EUR 5 million and opening of 100 jobs.
The total investment in the plant, set to open next year, will amount to EUR 12 million with a total of 300 jobs.
The new industrial capacity will produce masks and plastic parts for the Van Hool buses, as well as many other bus and truck brands.
The government announced Tuesday the plans for the investment and signed lease agreement with “Purplast” representatives.
Deputy Prime Minister Koco Angjusev said “Purplast” in the first phase would build a plant covering an area of between 8,000 and 10,000 square meters and initially would open 100 jobs.
“Purplast” was founded in 1980 and manufactures plastic parts for the automotive industry, including Mercedes, BMW, Ford, Volvo, MAN and others.
