A total of 295 members of the Army will support the police in securing the health facilities in accordance with the needs of the Ministry of Health. This number is elastic and it does not mean that everyone will go out on the field tomorrow, said today the acting the director of the Crisis Management Center, Stojance Angelov.

Thus, at this moment, about 150 police officers and 300 members of the Army will be engaged in securing health facilities. Army members will not be armed and will be deployed only where necessary, but only as escorts to police officers, he said.

Police officers are the ones who have police powers, while the members of the Army will assist them, primarily to maintain order in front of hospitals and covid centers, to enable better and smoother work of health workers, said Angelov.
