Today, after 20 years, the Republic of Macedonia has a clearer insight into the total population and the percentage of communities in the country, DUI leader Ali Ahmeti, wrote on Facebook, after the results of the 2021 Census were presented today by the SSO.

Albanians make up 29.5% in the general population and 24.3% in the resident population, while in the city of Skopje 22.8% (from 20.04% in 2002). I congratulate all the institutions that got involved and helped the census as process that started in March last year with the diaspora from the country that ended in September with the registration of the population in the country, a process and challenge that is not easy, but we managed to complete it successfully, wrote Ahmeti.
