Tunisian businesswoman Wided Bouchamaoui, one of the recipients of the 2015 Nobel peace prize, will nominate Zoran Zaev and Alexis Tsipras for the award because of them pushing the Prespa treaty to rename Macedonia.
Bouchamaoui is in Skopje to be promoted as an honorary doctor at the FON university, ran by a Zaev coalition partner. She said that “the Prespa agreement, in which both parties and the mediators have put so much energy, as an exceptionally significant process which deserves to be nominated for the Nobel Peace prize”.
Bouchamaoui also met with Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi and called on both Parliaments to complete the process and ratify the treaty. A SYRIZA member of European Parliament Stelios Kouloglou is set to accompany Bouchamaoui to a meeting with Greek Prime Minsiter Tsipras, to present the nomination.
