The Ministry of Interior said on Tuesday evening that the threat of an attack in Skopje proved to be fake.

The Ministry of Interior made the necessary checks and it was determined that the report of an attack was fake. Measures are taken to determine the report and to take appropriate measures and sanctions against the person who falsely reported. We thank the citizens for their patience, and the media for their professional attitude towards the situation, informs the Ministry of Interior.

Police were acting on a report of an attack threat, after a person called at 16:45 h at the MNT ticket office. Several buildings around the theater were immediately evacuated after the report.
