The newly appointed EU Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi will have his first visit to Macedonia on Wednesday.

The Commissioner will meet with Macedonian officials to discuss the proposed new enlargement methodology, which France demands is put in place before it can allow the opening of EU accession talks with Macedonia and Albania. Countries that support enlargement are pushing for the methodology to be approved in March.
