Deputy PM Bojan Marichikj is in Brussels for a significant agenda, focusing on Macedonia’s European integration and ongoing EU accession. He’s engaged in bilateral meetings with European officials and taking part in discussions to advance the country’s European agenda. Additionally, he’s participating in the “Global Gateway Forum” in Brussels, featuring over 40 government officials, international organizations, and financial institutions. The forum covers global infrastructure investments, public-private sector challenges, green energy transition, education, research support, raw material security, and transport and digital infrastructure development. Marichikj’s visit also includes meetings with European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi and discussions on the screening process and Roadmaps for opening Cluster 1 – Fundamentals. These meetings revolve around Macedonia’s EU accession and address current and future challenges.
