Deputy Parliament Speaker Frosina Remenski was in the office of state prosecutors today to inspect the evidence against her in the racketeering scandal. Remenski is charged with using her influence to help her close friend Bojan Jovanovski – Boki 13 extort millions of euros from businessmen.

She is the only ranked SDSM party official to be charged for her ties with Boki 13, who faces two major charges of racketeering, and is currently in house arrest.. One of them, which includes extorting 1.5 million EUR from businessman Jordan Orce Kamcev, is currently on trial with Boki 13 and disgraced former Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva in the dock.

In the second case, which includes Remenski, Boki 13 is charged with extorting about a million EUR from two businessmen who he was fooling with the promise of letting them in on big real-estate deals. The deals were supposed to have the blessing of top SDSM officials from several municipalities.
